Today’s Action: Boycott businesses that partner with the NRA
As Republican lawmakers continue to stand silently in the face of public outcry against gun violence, it’s clear why: the National Rifle Association (NRA) blood money is still flowing into their bank accounts. In 2016, the NRA spent a staggering $30 million to elect Trump.
The NRA has a powerful lobby – but consumers are even more powerful. Boycotts have forced dozens of major corporations to cut ties with NRA just in the last week.
But many more remain, and this is our chance to send the NRA a message they can’t ignore.
Major companies including VISA, FedEx, and Amazon need to hear that partnering with the NRA makes them complicit in the deaths of tens of thousands of Americans a year.
And boycotts aren’t limited to businesses. After successful travel-boycotts, one Parkland shooting survivor has called for a boycott of spring break tourism in Florida, where Senator Marco Rubio has received $3,303,355 from the NRA.
We’re putting our money where our mouths are, because sometimes that’s the only way to ensure people listen — especially corporations and Republicans.
PS — Please don’t forget to sign the petition telling Amazon, Apple, Google, and Roku to stop broadcasting NRA-TV, and join the vast majority of Americans demanding Congress protect Dreamers NOW!
