Demand investigation of Trump family's illegal ties to Saudi royals after murder cover-up

On October 2, Jamal Khashoggi entered the Saudi Arabian consulate in Turkey and was neither seen nor heard from again. Overwhelming evidence points to the conclusion that Khashoggi, a Washington Post journalist and permanent U.S. resident, was the victim of premeditated murder by the Saudi royal family.

The free world over has responded in outrage as a critic of Saudi oppression seems to have been tortured and executed for speaking out against atrocities by the regime.

The lone exception is the President of the United States. Donald Trump has has been unwilling to criticize the obvious perpetrator, Saudi Arabia’s de facto leader, Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, arguing that the Saudis deserve the benefit of the doubt and that we should not risk our alliance over one death.

Trump has made debunked claims that he is standing by Saudi Arabia’s royal family because of record breaking arms deals. The truth is, he is covering up their heinous crimes because of his family’s personal business dealings with the Saudi government. His son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner has a well-known “bromance” with Bin Salman, communicating with him off the books via encrypted chat app WhatsApp and has had closed door meetings with him.

Trump’s conflict of interest with the Saudi regime have clearly made it impossible for him to faithfully execute his duties under the constitution — now even covering for a murder of an U.S. resident.

We, the undersigned, demand that the U.S. Justice Department investigate any potentially illegal conflict of interest exists between the Trump family and the Saudi regime at once!
