Today’s Action: General Strike TODAY – don’t cross the picket line, in-person or online!

You’ve got one job today – and that’s to NOT shop.

While vast portions of our economy have shut down, and unemployment has now surpassed 20%, a few companies are doing quite well: Amazon, Target, and Instacart to name a few. Big corporations have profited by helping the majority of Americans stay home and stay safe…off the backs and health of underpaid and under-protected essential workers.

Today is May Day, also known as International Workers Day, traditionally a day of celebrating labor’s contributions and fighting for labor rights. And in the middle of an economic and global health crisis, thousands of workers around the country are striking for their lives. You can help – by boycotting companies being struck and respecting picket lines.

Boycott (including online) Amazon, Target, Instacart, Whole Foods, Walmart, and FedEx TODAY and do not cross any picket lines, as thousands of workers conduct a #GeneralStrike this #MayDay2020.

Corporate America’s response to worker’s needs has been dismal and deadly. Amazon has underreported coronavirus cases in their warehouses, upped their infamous anti-union tactics, and is eliminating their unlimited unpaid time off policy. And Whole Foods (owned by Amazon) is using heat maps to bust union-organizing during the pandemic. These are just a few examples of how corporations are sickening and killing employees while crushing workers rights during one of the biggest labor movements of our lifetimes.

Today – and in the weeks and months following – it is vitally important that we stand in solidarity with the working-class labor movement, which has buoyed our entire country through this pandemic, and fight alongside them for a better future.

Do not cross the picket line today, in-person or online. Boycott all corporate purchases TODAY from Amazon, Target, Instacart, Whole Foods, Walmart, and FedEx to support their workers during the #GeneralStrike.
