IT’S OVER. Trump’s failed presidency officially ends at noon EST today – at which point he’s already expected to be arriving in Florida at Mar-a-Lago, to await his impending trial(s). We don’t need to tell you how you should be feeling right now. Whatever mixture of ecstasy, relief, grief, and everything in between is a deserved reaction to four years of battling the most criminal and sociopathic president in the history of the United States. You do you.

And…IT’S BEGUN! Today at noon, President Biden and Vice President Harris take over with a Democratic-majority Congress. Some of our wishes will likely come true immediately, through executive orders – re-entering the Paris Climate Accord and ending the Muslim Ban, for example. We also have our work cut out for us with enacting bigger progressive legislation… and we can’t wait to fight for them as hard as we’ve fought against the GOP agenda.

But for today, we recommend the following action: CELEBRATE THE INAUGURATION! Cheer on Joe and Kamala – the first Black and Indian-heritage woman Vice President – as they usher us into a post-Trump era. Choose your favorite network/news website…everyone will be covering Inauguration Day.

Swearing-In and Inaugural Address. Coverage begins at 10:30 am EST, and our new leaders will take their oaths shortly before noon. First Kamala Harris, sworn in by Justice Sonia Sotomayor, the first woman of color seated in the United States Supreme court. Then, Joe Biden, sworn in by Chief Justice John Roberts, followed by his address to the nation. Musical performances by Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, and Garth Brooks.

Arlington National Cemetery. Around 2 pm EST, Joe and Kamala will be joined by the last three non-Trump presidents and their families to visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Parade Across America. Around 3:15 pm EST, instead of a Pennsylvania Avenue parade, we’ll get one that traverses the country. Comedy, music, athletics and everyday heroes.

Democrats Take Senate. At 4:30 pm EST, Vice President Kamala Harris will swear in three new Democratic Senators, including her replacement, Alex Padilla, and Georgia’s Raphael Warnock and John Ossoff, marking just the second time in US history that a party has taken control of two branches of government on the same day.

Celebrating America. 8:30 – 10 pm EST, Tom Hanks is joined by Kerry Washington, Eva Longoria, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Bon Jovi, Foo Fighters, John Legend, Demi Lovato, Bruce Springsteen, Justin Timberlake and more.

More info/scheduling here.

Then, get a good night’s rest…because on Thursday, the REAL work begins…
