Today’s Action: Tomorrow is the ACA deadline for most states!
The final day for Affordable Healthcare Act (ACA) open enrollment is TOMORROW, December 15, in most states. We’ve fought hard for two years to keep Obamacare accessible for all, which provides individual plans for as little as $50/month.
But Trump and the GOP majority in Congress have made it their mission to break apart Obama’s historic legislation. In addition to trying (and failing) to dismantle the ACA via legislation, Trump cut the ACA enrollment period by more than half and eviscerated the outreach budget. Americans responded by enrolling in record numbers last year, and showing up in record numbers for midterms this year.
Now, the ACA faces off against Trump’s temporary “junk” plans, the exact type of consumer-scamming, deadly health insurance policies Obamacare eliminated in the first place. It’s going to take education to spread the word: ACA plans are the safest bet for quality coverage.
Make sure you and your loved ones aren’t locked out of affordable healthcare. Enroll now, and spread the word that December 15 is the deadline for most states.
Several states are resisting Trump’s sabotage by extending their enrollment period: confirm your state’s enrollment deadline here.
Don’t let Trump and his base’s racist grudge against Obama keep a single person from accessing the vital healthcare they need and deserve.
Share HealthCare.gov and remind your friends and family, social networks, and communities that December 15 is the deadline to get healthcare on the exchange.
Your efforts truly may be the action that saves a life.
