Today’s Action: Guarantee the RIGHT to vote!
Ten months from this week, every district in America will go to the polls to decide who will represent them in the next Congress. But millions of American adults will be denied their right to vote.
That’s because some states deny people the right to vote because of a past conviction even after they have served out their served their sentences. In Florida alone, 1.6 million Floridians have had their voting rights taken from them — one in 10 adults.
Now, we have a chance to change this un-American, partisan political attack on our fellow citizens’ rights.
Let’s help them get over the top. Here’s what you can do:
- Help cover the cost of sending petitions to Florida voters (including return postage).
- Share the Petition with friends via Facebook or Twitter or email.
- If you live in Florida, print and fill out the petition, and return it by mail — this week to ensure it arrives on time.
Every American deserves the right to have a say in their government — especially those who have paid their assigned debt to society. That right is being denied to far too many of us, and this is our chance to do something about it. But we have to act fast.
PS — Please don’t forget to sign the petition telling Trump & Betsy DeVos not to let rapists get away with sexual assault on college campuses, and join the Americans demanding Congress stop Trump from firing Special Prosecutor Mueller!
