Today’s Action: Keep 3D gun blueprints off the internet
A word from our founder: Republicans are now left with no defense but the idea that Trump tightly ran an operation where his closest underlings broke the law freely and frequently as he remained clueless to their crimes—even those committed on his behalf. Yeah, good luck with that. (TWEET THAT)

Today’s Action: Keep 3D gun blueprints off the internet
The fight over 3D gun blueprints continues, and it’s chaos. Trump’s Department of Justice wants to release blueprints to the world, while Attorney General Jeff Sessions says he’ll prosecute anyone who manufactures them. Meanwhile, Democrats are pleading with social media companies to block distribution based on user agreement rules that ban illegal activity and glorify violence.
And, the Attorney Generals of 19 states are suing Trump’s State Department for allowing blueprints for guns created on at-home 3D printers to be fully available on the internet, downloadable for anyone and everyone. 3D-printable guns require NO background checks, have NO safety regulations, NO serial numbers, can slip through metal detectors…and yes, the blueprints include semi-automatic weapons.
There are two pieces of legislation in the Senate to combat this latest move from Trump’s trigger-happy administration…and we need them fast, because the blueprints have already been released.
This latest move from Trump’s administration is, in short, lunacy — and will allow loads of untraceable, undetectable fresh new guns to enter our public spaces, our schools, airports, and homes (we literally can’t estimate how many because they’ll be utterly unregulated).
Trump himself seems to not even be aware of the consequences of his team’s actions, if we can base anything off of his tweet…which is, sadly, usually the most accurate indicator of how our President feels on any issue.
Unacceptable. Congress must push forward with legislation to shut down this horrific new open market of gun accessibility.
All the thoughts and prayers in the world won’t keep a flood of undetectable guns off our streets, but this legislation can.
