Today’s Action: Demand Congress pass legislation to preserve the Iran Deal

Last week, President Trump announced that he is pulling the United States out of the Iran Nuclear Deal.

Except that’s not really true. Because by all accounts, Iran was complying with the terms of the agreement. Trump’s intention to renew sanctions against Iran actually violates the multinational deal — breaking America’s promise, undermining our credibility in future negotiations, and defying the global community.

It doesn’t have to be that way. Congress can preserve the critical deal by passing legislation that stops Trump from leveling sanctions against Iran. But they won’t do it if they don’t hear from us.

Call or email your Members of Congress and demand they immediately pass legislation to stop Trump from implementing sanctions in violation of the Iran Deal.

The Iran Deal was a legacy of President Obama, and by counts on all sides, it was working. So, like with Obamacare and any other Obama success, Trump was determined to destroy it.

Being president is about more than politics — or it should be! The Iran Deal has kept Iran from its pursuit of nuclear weapons, and Trump’s actions not only further destabilize the region and globe, they likely return Iran to the path of attaining a bomb

Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ), ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has already stated that Congress can save the deal…and now we must push others to join him in that sentiment.

Email or call (212.224.3121) your Members of Congress and demand they leave no stone unturned to preserve the Iran Nuclear Deal.

PS — Please don’t forget to sign the petition to tell the FBI to label the KKK a terrorist organization, and join the Americans demanding Congress protect Dreamers NOW!
