Today’s Action: Tell Biden to condemn the acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse!

When asked about the outcome of the Rittenhouse trial, President Biden, who noted that he did not watch any of the televised coverage, responded, “Look, I stand by what the jury has concluded. The jury system works, and we have to abide by it.” For anyone who did watch the trial, we know that a largely white jury followed the instructions of an overtly racist judge in allowing a white supremacist to walk free after inciting violence at a Black Lives Matter protest and killing two people.

Kyle Rittenhouse crossed state lines with an assault weapon with a clear intent to provoke violence. To say he would not have gotten away with it had he been a person of color is obvious. Likely, he wouldn’t have gotten out alive. Now, our judicial system is setting a dangerous precedent for future protests — and many activists worry it will encourage more violence by conservative white supremacists against progressive activists.

We need to know where President Biden truly stands when it comes to protecting the lives of protestors.

Write President Biden and tell him to condemn the acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse. Include this petition and let him know that thousands of Americans are with you.
