The number just keeps going up: 43 House Republicans have now announced they will not defend their seats in the 2018 midterms — far more than any other recent Congress, and over twice the number of Democrats leaving their seats.

And it’s no accident. Trump’s enablers behaved as if no one was watching as they pursued a reckless agenda that enriched their wealthy donors at our expense. But we let them know we were watching and would hold them to account.

Last year, we set the stage for a wave to get us back on a course for stability, reason, and strength. Now, we seal the deal.

There will be 78 highly competitive House elections this year, and we only need to flip 23 of them to win back the House for Democrats.
