Today’s action: Put in a volunteer shift this holiday weekend to win Georgia!

The deadline for Georgians to register to vote in the Senate runoff elections is two weeks from today — December 7th. We win back the Senate if we win both seats in Georgia…and it’s expected to be tight in both races. Biden needs We need a Democratic Senate to enact changes that benefit the American , so this is an all-hands-on-deck moment!

We have less than two weeks to find every unregistered, fair-minded Georgian and get them registered!

If you live in or near Georgia and are not immunocompromised or a caretaker for a vulnerable population, sign up to register new voters in-person! If this isn’t your situation, 1. share this event with two people who may be able to volunteer in-person, and 2. make calls, write letters, or send postcards to registered voters and encourage them to request their ballots!

Get to know the fantastic Democratic candidates you’re supporting! Rev. Raphael Warnock is Black pastor and activist who has spent years in the field of voter rights and registration. He’s fighting for climate policy, affordable health care, and ending mass incarceration and privatized prisons.

Jon Ossoff is an investigative journalist who’s campaigning for clean energy, women’s healthcare (his wife is an OB/GYN!), LGBTQ rights, and ending Citizens United. Ossoff worked with and was endorsed by the legendary late Black civil rights leader Rep. John Lewis.

Both are the slight underdogs in this run-off election. But Georgia flipped blue for Biden…which means flipping both Senate seats blue is our next fully-achievable challenge!

December 7th is the deadline to register for the January 5th runoff election. If you live in or near Georgia, sign up to register new voters in-person! If you can’t commit due to location or pandemic-related limitations, share that event with two people who may be able to volunteer. Then, sign up to make calls, write letters, or send postcards to remind Georgians to request their absentee ballot!

PS — Please don’t forget to sign the petition calling on Mitch McConnell stop blocking the pandemic relief bill that the American people desperately need, and check out the brilliant “Don’t Think of an Elephant” by George Lakoff — a quick read that contains the ultimate keys for Democrats to win elections — and arguments.
